For this laser show set to "Silence feat. Sarah McLachlan (Stereo Express Remix)," John Dickson designed a 16-laser rig arranged as two mirrored triangles of eight. The layout supported a visual narrative that tracked the song’s emotional arc and progressive build. Using a palette of purple, orange, and white, he layered offset effects in color, brightness, and movement to keep each section of the nearly six-minute performance distinct and engaging.
As the track moved between calm and intensity, the programming shifted with it, combining geometric precision with dynamic motion to stay tightly connected to the music. The show required 16 hours of programming in Pangolin Beyond 5.2, with visualization created in Syncronorm Depence R3.
